Picking Blueberries

On Thursday, we got to pick our first blueberries. It was a lot harder work than I expected. There were so many berries to pick from and the sun was getting hotter and hotter, even at 9 in the morning. Mrs. Pam Williamson was so kind to invite us to her house to pick blueberries.

Hannah Moriah did a good job picking some of the big blue ones. Then she got sidetracked and wanted to ride with Ms. Pam in the golf cart again. They had such fun riding in the golf cart to get water.

Elim helped pick, but he does not know his colors yet. So in his basket had some green and white berries too. Then he kept carrying around his basket and the berries were spilling out. So not only did I pick some berries from the bushes, but also picked some up from the ground. He also ate some while he was working.- Smart fellow!

The berries were so beautiful and full. There is so much of God's goodness is this world and He uses the things of nature to teach him so much of himself. Some of the most beautiful berries were the ones hidden under the leaves. There is great reward for hard work- Ms. Pam even sent us home with a blueberry cream pie and snacks.Posted by Picasa
