HM and Daddy spent the night in the hospital last night. Caroline and Mrs. Deborah Barnes spend the night at the Ronald McDonald House- right across from the hospital. HM has been seen by many medical people...interns, nurses, nurses in training, floor doctors. However we are waiting on the neurologist, Dr. Turner, to come this afternoon. He has ordered a regular EEG to be done, but we are still waiting on them to come. Hannah Moriah was busy this morning from 10-12 in the Atrium, the huge playroom. She loved playing in the kitchen, pushing the babies around (she kept looking for the church to take them too), painting, playing with sand, playing with the tools, and playing doctor. The playroom is awesome!! There were also many other children in the playroom- which were new experiences for her. One little girl was not opening her eyes, so she was listening to her mother's voice to get around and HM pretended she was doing the same. Another little girl was riding in a car with an IV following behind and HM played follow the leader with her for a while. Another boy had a mask over his mouth and she asked about that too.
Hannah Moriah seems to be doing better and getting more back to herself. Her body seems to be adjusting to this new medicine. The concern is that she still could be having seizures in her brain that we are not visibly seeing. The doctor in Florence believes her diagnosis to be Doose Syndrome, (http://www.doosesyndrome.com/ )but we are waiting to hear from Dr. Turner here at MUSC.

Caroline, I am so thankful that HM seems to be doing better and that she looks like she is taking this all like a champ! What a big smile she had while getting a fancy ride in the ambulance! Wow... kids are so amazing & resilient! We will continue to pray for answers, guidance & comfort. Please let us know what we can do from Florence to help. Jennifer
